The challenge

We had the privilege to design an app for Lugg that can connect vetted movers and a truck with people anytime and anywhere they need. The main goal was to replace the traditional movers with the professional vetted movers.

We had to create an app that can provide craigslist pickup and delivery, donation pickup and delivery at any desired donation center, and junk removal. Designing an app that lets picking customers’ furniture and deliver it to their desired place at any time was not more than a big challenge.


In the working process, we defined the product goals by different working different sessions with our clients. From these working sessions, we set up interviews with the targeted group of users to validate personas and completed customers' and users' journeys. Then, we started researching the competitors, gathered the information about the features, pros, and cons and designed.

Information Architecture and wireframing

We defined a task-oriented information architecture from our research. We carefully defined the content and created mind maps which helped us in identifying the task flows. After identifying the primary flows, we elaborated the concepts in the tool.

We started wireframing the process which helped us in making things more tangible. Then, for early testing, we converted our wireframes into clickable prototypes and gathered feedback from the client. We involved with our client with every step in order to move quickly by scheduling weekly presentations. We iterated quickly, focusing purely on interactions and process flows.

Design, Test, and Repeat

After designing the prototype and wireframes, we started designing the user interface. We created three different versions of a screen. The first one was light, the second one was pretty dark and the third one was colorful. The difference in the screens was of colors, shapes, fonts, icons, and light- dark elements. Then, we asked the client what elements they like from those different versions.

For designing the pixel-perfect screens, we used Photoshop and Sketch. We created some sort of specification for the developer and delivered a UI kit.


We designed a successful app that replaced the traditional movers with vetted movers by connecting people with vetted movers and trucks. We designed an intuitive and easy to use interface that let picking and delivering customers’ furniture to their desired place at any time anywhere. We created an app that provided craigslist pickup and delivery, donation pickup and delivery at any desired donation center, and junk removal.
